To use online training, users should have a basic knowledge of computers. This should include, but is not limited to, the ability to use a mouse, which involves knowing the difference between left-click and right-click; the ability to open and close documents and web pages; and the ability to navigate a website. Those with no computer experience at all may have trouble using our online training and, for their own benefit, may want to enroll in a basic computer training class before using any of our online courses.
Yes, you can take our online courses by signing in with your user name and password from any location and computer with high-speed internet access. However, each computer does need to meet our basic system requirements for viewing our online courses.
Yes, an email address is necessary for the purpose of enrolling in our online courses. However, since a user name, not an email, is required to log in to a student account, it is possible to have multiple users with the same email address.
Our courses are set up to take a specific amount of time. Some students may get through the training more quickly, while others may actually take longer to complete their training. Remember, this training should be used as an intricate tool in the context of an overall training program; it can be combined with other training throughout the year in order to meet any hour requirements needed.
No, our courses are designed so you can start and stop as needed, allowing you to break the training up over a longer period of time. Our system will keep track of your progress, enabling you to resume where you left off upon your next login. It is important that once you start a section, you complete that section or you will need to start that section over from the beginning upon your return.
Typically for 8 hour courses you have 90 days to complete the training, while longer courses (24, 32, or 40 hours) allow for 180 days to complete the training. However, if you need longer, we can work that out on a case by case basis, and we have never denied an extension request.
You can take any exam as many times as needed to pass. Our exams are randomly selected from a pool of questions; therefore, each time you take the exam it will be slightly different.
Yes, almost all of our courses offer a certificate upon course completion. Once you have completed a course, you are able to download, save or print a certificate of completion from your student account. Certificates are created in PDF format. Users must have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader before attempting to download the completion certificate.
